7. Youth Privacy, Minors, and Age-Related Information

Youth for Youths Voices Inc. serves young people ages 14 through 21 through programs, events, mentoring, leadership development, and related activities. Because some participants may be minors under applicable law, we take extra care in how we handle age-related and participation information.

Our Site is intended for a general audience and is not directed primarily to children under 13.

We do not knowingly collect personal information online from children under 13 without appropriate consent where required by law. If you are a parent or guardian and believe that a child under 13 has provided personal information through our Site, please contact us so we can review the situation and take appropriate action.

For youth registration, events, mentoring, volunteer opportunities, or program participation involving minors, we may collect information from the youth participant, the participant’s parent or guardian, or both, where appropriate. This may include contact information, age or date-of-birth information, emergency contact information, participation details, and consent-related information necessary to administer the activity responsibly.

Where required or appropriate, we may use separate registration forms, consent forms, parent/guardian permission forms, waivers, media releases, emergency contact forms, or intake forms in addition to this Privacy Policy.

We ask users not to submit unnecessary sensitive information through general website forms. If we learn that information has been submitted inappropriately, we may delete or limit use of that information as appropriate.

8. Cookies, Analytics, and Similar Technologies

These technologies may be used to:

  • enable essential website functions;

  • analyze traffic and usage patterns;

  • improve Site performance and content; and

  • help protect against spam, abuse, and security threats.

Depending on how our Site is configured, we may use:

  • essential cookies;

  • performance or analytics cookies; and

  • functional cookies.

We may also use third-party tools that place their own cookies or similar technologies.

(Our current third-party tools include: Google Forms and our Squarespace Donation Widget)

You can usually control cookies through your browser settings. Depending on your location and our Site settings, you may also see a cookie banner or consent tool that allows you to manage certain cookie preferences.

9. Third-Party Services and Embedded Content

Our Site may contain links to third-party websites, services, donation tools, maps, videos, scheduling services, social media platforms, or other embedded content. If you interact with those third-party features, the third party may collect information according to its own privacy policy.

Accordingly, while we strive to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

13. Do Not Track / Global Privacy Control

Some browsers offer a “Do Not Track” setting, and some users may enable browser-based privacy preference signals such as Global Privacy Control (GPC). Because there is not yet a single uniform standard for how all websites should interpret these signals, our Site may not respond to all such signals in every context.

If applicable law requires us to recognize a particular signal for a particular processing activity, we will do so as required.
